To The East TO The West

Tonight we on earth sit in a special planetary alignment.  From our earth based view of the cosmos, we see the Sun and Jupiter in opposition (directly across from each other).  When the sun sets in the west, Jupiter rises in the east.  Venus also illuminates the early evening sky, it is aligned with the sun right now, so it will be the bright light in the western sky just after sunset. At it’s very simplest, we have come to associate Venus with Love, and Jupiter with expansiveness. 
So this alignment speaks about the EXPANSION of LOVE.

EXPANSIVE LOVE SUNSET CEREMONY
Take a moment to pause and connect tonight around or after sunset. 
Orient yourself, so that your left shoulder faces west (towards sunset), your nose and eyes will be north, and your right shoulder faces east.  Turn to face the east, rising Jupiter.  Breath into the ground below you and connect to the core of the earth.
Soften your body – soften your jaw, soften your gaze.
Look up and find the bright ball of Jupiter.  Let the light from Jupiter flow into you.  Swirl it all around. 
Then turn to face west.  Take in the beauty and grace from the sunset.  Find the bright ball of Venus.  Let the light from Venus flow into you.  Swirl it all around. 
 
Then orient yourself again so you are facing North, and spread your arms out wide.  Right arm reaching to West/sunset/Venus.  Left arm reaching to East/Jupiter. 
Open your palms and let them form cups or collection rods to each planet.  Breathe in, draw in the light from each one, and gather them into your heart space and lung space.  Use your breath and awareness to fashion them into a swirling ball of light and energy.
Enjoy this feeling of expansive love in your heart and core and then expand it OUT. 
Breathe it about, dance it around, sing and tone it freely.
Share it, with humanity, with the body of the earth, with the rocks and the trees, with the ONES you love.
